What inspired this collection?
March 20th is the first day of Spring, so what better way to kick it off than with some bright floral themed gemstudio rings! These pieces are the perfect pop of color to help brighten our day & fits! Spring is the beautiful transition to warmer days ahead, so let’s celebrate with another fun gem studio collection!!
Tell us about yourself! What do you do outside of Gem Studio?
Hi! I am Kadence! I am originally from ND, but have recently become a desert rat here in St. George this last year! The red rocks are always calling my name. So if you need me outside of the gemstudio I’m either repelling, biking or on some fun outdoor adventure! Besides staying busy outside, I am a student at Dixie State majoring in Elementary Education!
What are you most passionate about?
I am very passionate about creating a happy & healthy lifestyle. While life has realistic responsibilities, it is also meant to be enjoyed! Push yourself out of your comfort zone, try new things, and do what makes YOU happy! The only thing stopping you is you!
What is currently playing on your Spotify?
you can find me jamming to my “kid at heart” playlist with a little Quinn XCII, Bryce Vine & AJR. But when it comes to the gym, there’s only one person getting me straight through. Thank you Pitbull.
What is your favorite thing about southern Utah?
My favorite thing about Southern Utah is the beautiful sunrises & sunsets. There is something magical about getting up for the day with the sun reflecting off the red rock & watching it set with the same warm glow.
Have you been to any National Parks in Utah? If so, what's your favorite and why?
If not, which one do you want to visit most and why?
Zion will forever be a favorite! The beautiful Narrows are something everyone needs to experience! While it’s not a national park, we have the beautiful Snow Canyon right in St. George’s backyard! Beautiful for hiking the rocks, lava caves, and dunes!
What do you want to manifest in your life over the next year?
I want to manifest even more personal growth! Pushing myself to do hard things on my own. I am far away from family, but in a way that serves me the opportunity to be more independent and I am very thankful for that.
What is your favorite gem, and why?
My favorite gem I think will always be Larimar. Many can agree with me as it’s very popular for its subtle beauty. The light blue stone somehow manages to match my fits everyday, and remind me of my favorite color.
What is your favorite part of the silversmithing process?
My favorite part is setting that stone. The feeling that you are so close to completing yet another beautiful piece. It’s the first real time you see the end product of your ring, and it’s very exciting!
What's your favorite gem studio memory?
One of my favorite Gem studio memories is our first St George Xmas party! All of us dressed up and were happy to be with one another & using our torches to make delicious crème brûlée! Being apart of the og St. George team has been the best<3
